Turkmenistan – UNESCO: following common practices

Developing cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has become one of the key directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. The work carried out since Turkmenistan became a full member of UNESCO in 1993 has further enhanced the country’s prestige in the world arena. Currently, measures taken to strengthen high-level relations with the UN and its major organizations, including UNESCO, and to define modern directions of cooperation are gaining more and more scope. The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan also participated in the recently held World Education Report “Accounting for 2030; Access and Equity” at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the Republic of France. This international conference, which brought together education system leaders and experts from different countries of the world, became a unique platform for discussing the challenges facing the system.
