ANCIENT WHITE HOUSE

During the revival of the new era of our sovereign state, thanks to the unparalleled efforts of our esteemed President, great work is being done to restore the national values created by our people over many centuries and enrich our culture. Currently, the national traditions and noble social norms, which originate from the national principles, broad worldview, and wisdom of our people, and have been passed down from generation to generation by our ancestors, are being studied on a scientific basis and passed on to future generations. All the national values inherited to us from our ancestors have been passed down from generation to generation and have reached our days. Among them, the Turkmen white house deserves special mention. The Turkmen white house, which is made of wooden products, dates back to very early times. It would not be wrong to say that the Turkmen white houses are the oldest, most mysterious, wonderful, strange and comfortable of the first manufactured and decorated objects in the world. Because until now, no one can accurately say when the white houses were created, their exact age. According to existing ethnographic data, the history of white houses is very ancient. When you look at the white houses, you can see that their design is completely connected with the life of the Turkmen people and their gardening, animal husbandry, and handicrafts. White houses are adapted to the needs of life and are a convenient means of migration, meeting all the requirements of nomadic life. Today, our white houses are the decoration of weddings and holidays held in our country. Thanks to the efforts of our esteemed President, state-level, national-benefit consultations, and gatherings, a “Turkmen white house” building was built in each of our regions. The Turkmen white house, which occupies a special place in the system of national cultural values of our people, is a form of sophisticated architectural art. The Turkmen white house was a very comfortable mobile dwelling for nomads. Because it has such convenient features as resistance to earthquakes and air circulation inside. In a traditional white house, there were places for storing all the things used in everyday life. The bed in the house was covered with colorful felt, carpets, and blankets. To the right of the door of the house, food, dishes, a hand mill, and other items were placed, and this place was called “gab bövri”, “ash bövri”. This place was intended for the women and children of the family. On the wooden platform on the side where the men sat, household items such as a sack of grain, camel hooves, horse saddles, rope, clothes, and shoes were placed. Opposite the door, a beautiful red carpet sack was hung, used for storing clothes. These values are now an integral part of Turkmen life. I would like to express my gratitude to our Heroic Arkadag, our Heroic Serdar of Arkadag for the opportunities they create for the scientific study of the national heritage of the Turkmen people and their dissemination to the world! May the souls of our Heroic Arkadag, our Heroic Serdar of Arkadag be healthy and may they live long! May the noble work they are carrying out for the benefit of the country continue to be blessed with success!
