Every Turkmen national treasure is proud of its deep meaning, its multifaceted nature, and its ability to clearly express life's events. One of our proudest legacies is the handbags sewn by brides and grooms. It wouldn't be a mistake to call such a bag a "secret bag." Because whatever it is, it can hold secrets. Letter bags, garment bags, wooden bags, and handbags are all capable of concealing what they contain, be it good or bad. Women hold all types of bags in high regard, dating back to ancient times, and consider their storage place the heart of the home. Bags vary greatly depending on their purpose. There are woven bags, fabric bags, knitted bags, and woolen bags, and they come in different sizes depending on what they can hold. Carpets, felt, and large bundles of fabric (cloth) are filled with clothing, also known as stone bundles. Small bundles of woven or sewn linen are filled with combs, mirrors, and handicrafts, and are named accordingly. The bundle of combs is placed in nine baskets worn by the bride at her wedding. It is believed that the first person to see their face in the mirror of the bundle of combs when it is opened will be lucky. After marriage, when a girl begins using a bundle of combs filled with clothes, she also puts her hair in it, along with the mirror and comb. This signifies that the bride and groom always strictly observe the rules of hygiene. Our mothers tell stories about bundles closely connected to the spiritual world of the bride and groom. When you open any bundle, it consists of five parts, including the junction. Each part has its own meaning. The bottom part symbolizes love, the right part symbolizes fidelity, the left part symbolizes children, the top part symbolizes diligence, and the junction represents a happy life. In general, bouquets are associated not only with the fate of the bride and groom, but also reveal their family traits.
